Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, and add any items that you wish us to make or buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We require that you pay in full at point of order. We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard and American Express. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.

We also accept cheques made payable to Aurora Dancewear & Costume Limited and sent to the business address below. However, your order will not be mailed until your cheque has cleared. Payment by Bank Transfer or Paypal is available on request.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

Once we have received your payment each garment you have ordered will be made in our London studio, go through quality control checks and be despatched within a few days.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Courier/Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery: 1 item £5.95, 2 items £6.95, 3 items £8.95, 4/5 items £9.95, 6/7 items £10.95, 8/10 items £13.95 and £1.95 per additional item.

UK (Mainland)
Royal Mail Special Delivery: 1 item £8.95, 2 items £9.95, 3/4 items £12.95, 5/7 items £15.95, 8/10 items £18.95 and £3.95 per additional item.

UK (Offshore) & Rest of EU except Southern Ireland and new member states:
Swift Air: 1 item £9.95, 2 items £11.95, 3/4 items £13.95, 5/7 items £15.95, 8/10 items £20.95 and £3.95 per additional item.

North America, Southern Ireland and the rest of the world:

A shipping charge of up to £15.00 will be applied to pleated net and decorated gathered net, tutus and tutu skirts boxed for extra protection.

Delivery Schedule

UK orders are normally delivered within 5 working days, European and North American orders 7 to 14 days and orders for other destinations 14 to 21 days. Items such as decorated tutus may occasionally take a little longer.

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

We cannot accept any liability for late deliveries by our delivery company or refund the delivery company's charges for late deliveries.

Back Orders

If your choice of colour or fabric is not available we will make your order as soon as we can get re-supplied. You will always be contacted with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait or to review your choice.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20.0% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free. VAT is zero rated on childrens clothing purchased in the UK.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee

Dancewear costumes and dance warm ups made in London by Aurora Dancewear are fully guaranteed. Faulty goods returned within two weeks, with proof of purchase, will be replaced or repaired as appropriate (wilful or negligent damage excluded).

Returns Policy

Costume work, commercial orders, group orders, orders for garments in unusual colours, fabrics or sizes are accepted and made on a non-returnable basis only. Dancewear, costumes and dance warm ups are made at the request of customers and to their specification and are not stock items. Please make sure your order is correct before sending. Returns if accepted will be charged 35% and must be in the original packaging with all tags in place, proof of purchase, and reach us within 14 days (garments that have been worn or washed are non returnable). It is advisable to contact us before returning any item. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. Refunds will be paid within 30 days. Your rights to return stock items within seven working days and receive a full refund are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder
